Pakistan has conducted a successful training launch of the Abdali missile system on Saturday. Abdali is a 450-kilometer range, solid fueled surface to surface missile. This was a part of Exercise INDUS to test operational preparedness of the army. The purpose was to test its vital technical features such as modern navigation system and improved maneuverability.
The launch was witnessed by senior officers from the Army Strategic Forces Command, scientists and engineers of strategic organizations. Upon the successful launch, the President, Prime Minister, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee along with the service chiefs congratulated the teams involved. They praised the professionalism of the armed forces, engineers and scientists.
The Corps Commanders Conference was held at the GHQ, a day after Pakistan Army top officials held a day long special session. They discussed the current regional situation with particular reference to increasing tensions with India. The army command also assured that Pakistan is committed to peace however any misadventure will be responded instantly. And they also stressed that the security and the desires of the Pak people will be taken care of.
It is also worth noting that India is directly accusing Pakistan of being behind the Pahalgam strike without offering any specific evidence. Pakistan has categorically rejected these allegations.
