An e-challan is a digital traffic fine given by the traffic police when you break a traffic rule. It is sent to your mobile number or can be found online using your vehicle number.
E-challans are issued using cameras, speed guns or manually by traffic police. You can pay these fines online without going to any office.

Method to Pay E-Challan Online
Visit the E-Challan Website
Go to the official e-challan website of your country or state.

If you are not sure then search on Google:
Pay e-challan online + your city/state name
Enter Your Details for e-challan
You will be asked to enter one of the following:
- Vehicle number (e.g., ABC-123)
- CNIC / Driving License number (for Pakistan)
- Challan number (if you have received it via SMS)
- Captcha code (to verify you’re human)
Then click on Search or Check Challan
View Challan Details for e-challan
After clicking search you will see:
- Type of traffic violation
- Date and time
- Location
- Fine amount
If there is more than one challan then all will be listed.
Choose Payment Method for e-challan
Click on the Pay Now or Proceed to Payment button.
You will get different payment options:
- Credit or Debit Card (Visa, MasterCard)
- Net Banking / Internet Banking
- Mobile Wallet (like Easypaisa, JazzCash in Pakistan)
- Bank Transfer
Choose the one that suits you.
Complete the Payment for e-challan
- Enter card or wallet details
- Confirm the payment
- Wait for payment confirmation
Once payment is successful, you will see a Payment Successful message.
Download or Take Screenshot of Receipt
After payment, you will receive a receipt. You can:
- Download it as PDF
- Take a screenshot
- Save it for future reference
Some websites also send SMS confirmation.
What If You Do not pay e-challan?
If you do not pay your e-challan:
- The fine may increase.
- Your vehicle registration may be blocked.
- You may face legal trouble or license suspension.
So it is better to pay it early and avoid problems.
