دی Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has introduced updated guidelines for registering children under the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif scheme — a government cash support program aimed at helping poor families educate their children.
What is Benazir Taleemi Wazaif?
This scheme offers additional support to families already getting help through the BISP Kafalat program. Its goal is to motivate parents to send their kids to school and prevent them from leaving early, especially girls.
Who Can Apply?
To enroll children in the program, you must meet the following conditions:
- Your family must already be receiving the Benazir Kafalat stipend.
- The child must fall within these age brackets:
- Primary School: 4 to 12 years
- Secondary School: 8 to 18 years
- Higher Secondary: 13 to 22 years
- Primary School: 4 to 12 years
- The father of the student must be eligible under BISP.
- Each child is verified only once when they first register.
- To continue receiving payments after the first quarter, the student must attend at least 70% of school days every term.
How to Register Your Child?
Parents can visit the nearest BISP facilitation office with the following documents:
- Child’s B-Form (birth certificate)
- Registered mobile number of the BISP beneficiary
At the office:
- Your child will be registered.
- An enrollment slip will be issued.
- Fill out the slip and submit it back to the BISP staff.
- After verification, you’ll begin receiving stipends.
How Much Money Will You Get?
The cash amount depends on the child’s education level and gender:
Education Level | Per Quarter (Boy) | Per Quarter (Girl) |
Primary School | Rs. 1,500 | Rs. 2,000 |
Secondary School | Rs. 2,500 | Rs. 3,000 |
Higher Secondary | Rs. 3,500 | Rs. 4,000 |
Bonus for Girls
A one-time bonus of Rs. 3,000 is also given to girls when they complete primary school. This is to encourage more girls to stay in school and finish their education.
