دی Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is introducing a new retail-based payment system starting Monday, June 16. This change comes as a major step to protect beneficiaries from the intense heatwave affecting many parts of the country and to provide them with a safer, more comfortable way to receive their payments.
Official sources have stated that BISP is shifting from the usual campsite payment setup to this new retail model. The main goal is to offer beneficiaries an easier, more respectful, and accessible way to collect their payments.
Additional Secretary of BISP Dr. Tahir Noor visited District Khanewal to review the arrangements for the upcoming Quarter 4 payments. He met with local teams and representatives from partner banks to make sure that everything is ready for a smooth rollout of the new system.
The new system will include:
- Biometric verification for security
- Printed receipts for full transparency
- Trained staff to assist beneficiaries
- Reliable network connections at payment points
- Display of clear instructions and awareness materials
