Easypaisa does not allow users to change their account number directly. That is because your Easypaisa account is linked to your mobile number and your CNIC (ID card).
So if you want to use Easypaisa on a new number, you will need to close your current Easypaisa account and then create a new one with your new number.
Method to Change Easypaisa Account Number
Step 1: Withdraw Your Balance
Before you begin, make sure there is no money left in your Easypaisa account. You can:
- Transfer it to another bank or mobile wallet
- Cash it out from a nearby Easypaisa shop
Step 2: Call Easypaisa Customer Service
Now call Easypaisa customer support to request account closure.
- From Telenor: Dial 3737
- From any other network: Call 042-111-003-737
Tell the representative:
I want to close my Easypaisa account because I need to register with a new number.
They will ask for:
- Your CNIC number
- Your registered mobile number
- Some identity verification questions
Step 3: Wait for Confirmation
After your identity is verified, the Easypaisa team will process your request.
You will get an SMS or call when your old account is officially closed.
This may take 1 to 3 working days.
Step 4: Create New Easypaisa Account
Once your old account is closed, you are free to register a new Easypaisa account with your new mobile number.
Here is how:
- *Dial 786# from your new SIM or download the Easypaisa app
- Enter your CNIC number
- Set your PIN code
- Your new Easypaisa account is now ready!
