How to Get Your Degree Verified by HEC Pakistan

It is compulsory to get a degree verified by HEC for someone who is applying for a job or going to study abroad.

 دی Higher Education Commission (HEC) verifies your academic degree to make sure it is real, issued by a recognized university and meets the standards. You get an official HEC stamp and a barcode slip which proves your degree is authentic.

Who Needs HEC Degree Verification?

You need HEC verification if:

• You are applying for jobs in government or private sectors
  
• You want to study abroad or apply for scholarships
  
• You are applying for immigration or PR
  
• You want to attest documents from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA)
  

Process for HEC Degree Verification

1. Create an Account on HEC Portal

Go to https://eservices.hec.gov.pk

• Click on Sign Up
  
• Enter your CNIC, email, phone and basic details
  
• Create a password and login

2. Fill in Your Education Details

Once logged in:

• Click Degree Attestation
  
• Add your Matric, Inter, Bachelors, Masters or any other degrees
  
• Upload scanned copies (clear and readable)
  
  • CNIC
    
  • Degree (front & back)
    
  • Transcript / Marksheet
    
  • Intermediate certificate for Bachelor degree validation
    
• Add your address and city
  

3. Choose Attestation Method

HEC gives two options:

• Physical Attestation – Visit HEC office by appointment
  
• Courier Service – Use TCS or Pakistan Post to send documents
  

Most people use the courier method as it is simple and saves time.

4. Upload Scanned Documents

Upload the required scanned documents in JPEG or PDF format. Make sure:

• Files are not blurry
  
• File size is under 5MB
  
• Names match your CNIC
  

5. Submit Application and Wait for Approval

Once everything is uploaded then submit the application. HEC will review and send you an email if your documents are approved or if something is missing.

6. Pay the Fee

Once approved, you will be asked to pay:

• Rs. 1000 per degree
  
• Pay online via 1 Link, ATM or bank branch
  

Keep the receipt saved.

7. Send Documents (If Using Courier)

After payment:

• Print the application form and attach your documents
  
• Visit your nearest TCS Express Center or HEC Partner Post Office
  
• They will seal and send the documents to HEC
  

8. Receive Your Verified Degree

After 7–14 working days (sometimes earlier), you will receive your documents back:

• Stamped and attested degree
  
• Attestation slip with barcode
  You can verify it anytime online.
