People had been saying all sorts of stuff online that Haseebullah Khan was going to ditch Pakistan and play for England instead. But now he has finally spoken up and said that is not true at all. He cleared the air himself. Some even claimed he had met with officials from the England Cricket Board to talk about his future in cricket. But according to Haseebullah himself, that is not what is happening at all.
In a short message shared through his Instagram story, Haseebullah cleared the instance. He said he is in England but only because of his domestic county cricket contract and some sponsorship responsibilities. He was pretty straightforward about it — said he is not switching teams, not now and not anytime soon. He said it himself that his focus is with Pakistan.

When it comes to his cricket so far, it’s still pretty early in the journey. He hasn’t really had much of a shot at the international level yet. Just three T20 matches for Pakistan, and in total, he has made 36 runs. That puts his average at 12 — nothing huge but it is a start.
In the PSL, he was picked by Quetta Gladiators in season 10, but he only got one match — scored seven runs in that one.
As for his overall T20 record, he has been featured in 35 matches up till now.
Across those games, he’s scored 599 runs. He has hit three fifties and has a batting average just under 20 with a strike rate of 118. All in all, he’s still early in his career and has a long way to go — but one thing is clear: for now, his focus is on Pakistan, not England.
