Every year, many students from Pakistan head into چین to study for free under the Chinese Government Scholarship. This program does provide a chance for those who are seeking study in top Chinese universities. They can earn Bachelor’s degrees or Master’s degrees or PhD degrees. It is attractive because it usually covers all your expenses like tuition, dorm fees, a monthly living allowance, together with medical insurance.
Understand the Types of CSC Scholarships
There are mainly two categories of CSC scholarships:

Choose Eligible Chinese Universities

Prepare Required Documents
- Valid Passport (Scanned Copy)
- Degree and Transcripts (Attested by HEC and MOFA)
- Study Plan / Research Proposal (800+ words)
- 2 Recommendation Letters (for Master’s/PhD)
- Physical Examination Form
- English Proficiency Certificate (IELTS not mandatory for some universities)
- Police Clearance Certificate
- Acceptance Letter (Optional but increases chances)
- CSC Online Application Form
- University Online Application (if required)
Fill CSC Online Application
- Visit: https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn
- Create an account and complete the application.
- Select Type A for the embassy or Type B for the university channel.
- You’ll be asked to input a university code (available on campuschina.org).
- Upload documents and submit.
- Print the application form.
Apply to University (for Type B)
If applying through Type B:
- Visit the official website of the selected university.
- Complete their online application.
- Some universities charge an application fee.
- Submit the CSC form along with other documents via university portal or courier.
Submit Documents to Embassy (for Type A)
If applying through the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad:
- Prepare 2 sets of documents (hard copies).
- Include the printed CSC form, transcripts, passport, etc.
- Wait for the Embassy’s annual announcement (usually in December–January).
- Submit documents to the Embassy or Consulate.
