The ten-inch was only two centimeters away from the spine and that injury needed a neurosurgeon’s help during surgery,” Dr. Uttamani said. The knife has been successfully removed and Saif Ali Khan is now in a recovery state after the operation.

Commissioner DCP Dixit Gedam stated that the reason behind the attack was a robbery. “It is probable the intruder intended to burgle the house and ran away after the attack. We are not sparing any effort in arresting him,” DCP Gedam said.
