A short time ago, social media was immersed with claims that Suzuki Alto will be banned from motorways in Pakistan starting April 01 2025.

According to these gossip, motorway police will not allow Suzuki Alto drivers to enter, and those who do will face a fine of five thousand rupee. This news has left many Suzuki Alto owners worried. But is it true or not?

There Is No Official Announcement From Government

As of now, there has been no official confirmation news from the National Highway & Motorway Police NHMP or any government institutions about this ban.

No official announcement or statement has been issued that stops  Alto from being used on the motorway. This means that for now, suzuki Alto owners can continue driving on the motorway as usual.

    Why Are These Rumors Spreading?

The reason behind this gossip could be safety analysis. Suzuki Alto is a small and lightweight 660cc Car. Some people believe that it is not eligible for high-speed travel on motorways.

In the past, there have been huge discussions about restricting small cars on motorways due to safety risks or problems, but no official announcement has ever been imposed.

Can Suzuki Alto Be Driven on the Motorway?

Yes, Suzuki Alto can be driven on motorways, as long as it follows the rules. This is because there are no official announcements from the motorway police or from the Pakistan’s government.

The National Highway And Motorway Police NHMP allows 660cc cars on the motorway, but drivers must maintain the minimum speed limit and make sure their car is in better condition and if the car is not in good condition then maintain it properly.
