Sometimes you need a card to sign up for a free trial, but you don’t want to use your main bank card. A virtual card is a safe and easy option. In Pakistan, there are several ways to make one, and most of them can be done in just a few minutes. Here is how to do it:
Choose a Virtual Card Service
Pick a reliable platform that works in Pakistan. Some popular options include:
- Sadapay
- NayaPay
- Easypaisa Debit Card
- JazzCash Debit Card
- Payoneer (for international use)
These apps allow you to make a virtual debit card that works for online purchases and subscriptions.
Create and verify your account
First, get the app of the service you want to use from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
When you open it, you’ll be asked for some basic details — your name, CNIC, and phone number.
Next, the app will ask for a picture of your CNIC along with a selfie so they can confirm it’s really you.
After you send this in, the team will review your information. Most of the time, they give approval within a few hours, but it can take up to a day.
Add Money to Your Account
To activate your virtual card, you need to load some balance. Even if the trial is free, many platforms require at least Rs. 100–500 in the card for verification.
You can add money through:
Bank transfer
Easypaisa/JazzCash
Another debit card
Generate the Virtual Card
Once your account is active:
Open the app’s card section.
Select “Create Virtual Card” or “Internet Card.”
You’ll get a card number, expiry date, and CVV code instantly.
Use the Card for Your Free Trial
Enter the card details where required on the website or app. Make sure:
You have enough balance for verification charges (some services deduct a small refundable amount).
The card is enabled for online international transactions in the app settings.
Manage and Cancel on Time
After your trial starts, set a reminder for the renewal date. If you don’t want to continue the service:
Remove the card from your account settings, or
Reduce your card balance to zero before the trial ends.
This way, you avoid any unwanted charges.
