Sports lovers in the province are rejoicing greatly since the Government of Sindh officially identified Sukkur as the host city of the much anticipated 19th Sindh Games.
The mega provincial sport event will be hosted on April 16-19, 2026. That was officially approved by the Sindh Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Maher in a high-level meeting to discuss the organizational preparations.

19th Sindh Games 2026 Sporting Disciplines
The 19 th Sindh Games will be enormous and it will include over 40 sporting disciplines according to Sports Secretary Manzoor Ali Mahesar. The event is meant to bring out the athletic talent at the grassroots level, as the boys and girls are expected to compete at the event and demonstrate their talent.
The other upcoming events that were briefed to the attendants during the meeting included the organization related issues on the popular Thar Jeep Rally.
19th Sindh Games 2026 Selection Process
The Sports Minister to make sure that the selection of the best athletes is done by the best representatives of their regions, set up a strict and transparent schedule concerning the selection process:
Divisional Trials: The selection trials will start right after Eid ul Fitr, and will take place between March 24 and March 29. These competitions will complete the competing teams.
Training Camps: After the trials, all the shortlisted players will have a special preparatory training camp between April 11 and April 15 in order to prepare for the actual event.
During the event, Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Maher gave a lot of importance to transparency and selection based on merit. He instructed all the organizing officials to make it a fair competition in order to give the Sindhi youth a fair chance to advance in their career as athletes.
Similar to the National Games, the Government of Sindh will ensure the 19 th Sindh Games is a success, Maher was confident in saying, the Government of Sindh would fully back the organizing authorities.
