How to Activate HBL Debit Card?

Activating your HBL Debit Card is essential to start using it for ATM withdrawals, online payments, and in-store purchases. Activate HBL Debit Card via ATM

HBL allows you to generate a 5-digit activation code via SMS, which can be used at any HBL ATM to activate your card.

Generate Activation Code via SMS

1. Open the SMS app on your HBL registered mobile number.
   

Type the following message:

DC<Last 4 digits of your Debit Card>

2.  Example: DC4321
   
3. Send the SMS to 14250.
   
4. You will receive a 5-digit activation code via SMS.
   

Note:

• This activation code is valid for 3 days only.
  
• If it expires, repeat Step 1 to generate a new code.

Visit Any HBL ATM

Take your HBL Debit Card, CNIC, and 5-digit activation code to any HBL ATM.

Activate at ATM

1. Insert your HBL Debit Card into the ATM.
   
2. Select your preferred language: English or Urdu.
   
3. Enter the 5-digit activation code received via SMS.
   
4. Enter your date of birth (DD-MM-YYYY).
   
5. Enter your 13-digit CNIC number.
   
6. Create a 4-digit ATM PIN of your choice using the keypad.
   
7. Re-enter the ATM PIN for confirmation.
   

Once completed, your HBL Debit Card will be activated and ready for use.

Activate HBL Debit Card via HBL Mobile App

You can also activate your debit card conveniently using the HBL Mobile App. Follow these steps:

1. Download and open the HBL Mobile App on your smartphone.
   
2. Login using your HBL credentials.
   
3. Navigate to the Debit Card section in the app.
   
4. Select Activate Card.
   
5. Enter the last 4 digits of your HBL Debit Card.
   
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to create your ATM PIN.
   
7. Confirm the details, and your card will be activated instantly.
