This is his second visit to Pakistan in 2025 but today his visit is regarded as a special visit due to the fact it is his first official visit since he assumed the presidency. In January of this year, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed was in Rahim Yar Khan where he had an official meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, but it was not an official state visit.
According to the Pakistan Foreign office, the UAE president will hold a massive negotiation with the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on his visit. Both leaders will talk about bilateral relations between Pakistan and the UAE and provide their views on the issues concerning the region and the world.
The Foreign Office indicated that visit is a milestone toward further cementing the brotherly relationship that has existed between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan. It further stated that the visit signifies the good relationship between the two nations and how the two are keen on expanding their operations in areas that are important including trade, investment, energy, development, and stability of the region.

The relations between Pakistan and the UAE are strong not only in the diplomatic and economic sphere but also in the cultural one, and the existence of a large Pakistani population living and working in the Emirates confirms this fact. UAE is one of the major trading partners of Pakistan and a source of foreign remittances and is highly important in financially sustaining the Pakistani economy.
The two nations also collaborate closely in areas such as defence, energy and investment whereby the UAE has often offered financial aid and humanitarian services to Pakistan whenever it is in need.
At the beginning of April, there were a series of memorandums of understanding (MoUs) signed by Pakistan and the UAE to further enhance cooperation. These were cultural exchange agreements, forming a joint consular affairs committee, and the formation of UAE-Pakistan Joint Business Council to facilitate business and investment relationship between both countries.
