The Punjab government is taking another big step toward digital governance by launching Punjab e-Biz Portal Online Services, where citizens will be able to access 210 government services online starting February 1. These services will be available from 15 different government departments, meaning people will no longer need to visit offices repeatedly to get their work done.
The government has explained that this initiative is part of the Chief Minister’s vision to make government services modern, fast, and easily accessible. The digital platform will eventually expand to 310 online services by March, giving citizens a single online place to apply for approvals, certificates, licenses, and other official processes.
This major decision was taken during a meeting of the Administrative Secretaries’ Committee, chaired by Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman at the Civil Secretariat. During the meeting, the progress of digital governance and reforms was reviewed, and departments were urged to speed up their work to meet deadlines.
