Allama Iqbal open university (AIOU) has officially introduced AIOU Digital Degree Process and this has changed the way degrees, diplomas, and certificates are given. The relocation in the system is towards paperless administration and quicker services to the students.
This measure will simplify, make the process transparent, and less time-consuming to the students.
Automatic Degree Issuance at AIOU
The new AIOU Digital Degree Process has the benefit that students who start their courses starting Fall 2024 will be automatically awarded their degrees and certificates. The aftermath of their programs will not require them to apply individually.

Online Requests Through CMS Portal
Students admitted from Spring 2021 onward who have completed their studies can now apply online. They just need to log in to the CMS portal and use the Student Service Request section to submit the new digital degree form.
This replaces the old manual application method and makes everything easier to track.
AIOU Rules for Existing Students
Students admitted in Fall 2020 or earlier will continue to receive their degrees and certificates using the previous procedures. For now, the digital system applies mainly to recent batches.
