The question that the majority of the planning pilgrims are asking is: Will the Hajj 2026 biometric verification deadline be extended? The answer is yes. The ministry of religious affairs and Interfaith harmony has officially deferred the date and this will be beneficial to the application.
The new deadline by which the necessity to implement biometric verification must be achieved is February 17, 2026.
Why Was the Deadline for Hajj 2026 Biometric Verification Extended?
Thousands of applicants who were facing the risk of missing the previous cutoff can consider the extension a relief. According to a spokesperson of the ministry, the decision was reached so as to ensure that no qualified pilgrim is left behind due to technical huddles or delays in the time schedules of the visa centres.
Can you go to Hajj without completing your biometric verification by the 17 th February?
No. The ministry has made a stern warning:
Biometric authentication is an obligatory Saudi Hajj visa requirement.
Those who fail to submit these last-minute applications will be disqualified and they will not be given a visa.
Any additional extensions will not be extended past February 17.
How Can You Complete the Hajj 2026 Biometric Verification Process?
There are two ways that pilgrims can authenticate themselves:
Saudi Visa Bio App: This is a mobile application that allows you to stay at home and complete the process.
Tasheer Centers: Face to face verification is to the nearest Tasheer (Etimad) center.
The government has been telling pilgrims to do it as early as possible rather than wait till the last day.
