The Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE) has officially declared the examinations of the First Annual Examinations 2026 in a number of the diploma programs. Students who are in affiliated technical institutions may now complete the necessary academic preparations within these official dates.

PBTE exam schedule 2026
The PBTE has provided precise dates of commencing both the practical and theory examinations:
Practical Examinations: The practical exams will be conducted on April 16, 2026 on the second, third and fourth years of your students.
Theory Examinations: The term written theory examinations of candidates of all years will formally start on June 29, 2026.
Exam Fee and Admission Form Deadlines
In order to have a hassle free registration process, the board has published a comprehensive fee submission schedule. Applicants are expected to follow the following deadlines when filling their examination forms:
- With Single Fee: Until March 11, 2026
- With Double Fee: Until March 18, 2026
- With Triple Fee: Until March 27, 2026
Hardship Cases: After the triple-fee deadline passes, admission forms under hardship cases may still be submitted until April 7, 2026. However, these will be subject to a strict fine of Rs500 per day. The board has clarified that no admission forms will be accepted after this final cutoff date.
Golden Chance Category: Candidates appearing under the Golden Chance category have until March 27, 2026, to submit their special examination fee. Hardship cases for Golden Chance candidates will also be accepted until April 7, subject to the same daily fine of Rs500.
This examination schedule has been officially issued on the directives of PBTE Chairman Dr. Faisal Mahmood and Controller of Examinations Irfan Qasim Malik, and the notification has been circulated to all relevant educational institutions.
