    The Government of Punjab has formally declared a big social welfare program to assist the most helpless layers of the society. This new program is called the Chief Minister Punjab Rehmat Card and is supposed to directly offer financial aid to widowed women and orphaned children who live in the province.

    The Rehmat Card, which is officially approved by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, is aimed at making sure that deserving people will no longer face helplessness and equal opportunities to the resources of the province.

    Below are all the details related to the Punjab Rehmat Card scheme, the financial rewards it will provide and the date of its introduction.

    What is the Punjab Rehmat Card?

    Punjab Rehmat Card is a welfare initiative funded by the government and specifically it is designed to help widows and orphans. The Chief Minister during a comprehensive briefing given by the Special Assistant of Ushr and Zakat, Rashid Nasrullah instructed the relevant officials to complete the preparations on the roll out of the card.

    The government has come up with a digital system that is transparent to eradicate corruption and to get the funds to the right individuals. This electronic infrastructure is ensuring that the financial aid reaches the deserving beneficiaries without any bureaucracies and middlemen.

    Punjab Rehmat Card Financial Assistance 

    Under the Rehmat Card program, eligible families will receive substantial financial backing to help cover their basic living expenses. The approved monetary distribution is as follows:

    • Widowed Women: Eligible widows will receive financial assistance of Rs. 100,000.
    • Orphaned Children: Each orphaned child registered under the program will receive Rs. 25,000.

    When Will the Rehmat Card Scheme Launch?

    The Chief Minister Punjab Rehmat Card project according to the official sources is set to be officially launched just after the Eid.

    The provincial government is now in the process of digitalization of the registration system as well as the database of eligible beneficiaries so as to have a smooth and transparent distribution process right after the launch.

    The Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, highlighted the fact that the real practical interventions under this scheme will go a long way in enhancing the lives of widows and orphans. This was a reiteration of the fact that every citizen was entitled to the resources of Punjab, and therefore the government was keen on the inclusive social welfare endeavors.

    Who is eligible for the Punjab Rehmat Card?

    The scheme is strictly designed for widowed women and orphaned children residing in Punjab.

    How much money is provided through the Punjab Rehmat Card?

    Eligible widowed women will receive Rs. 100,000, while orphaned children are entitled to receive Rs. 25,000 each.

    The Punjab government has developed a highly transparent digital system that directly transfers financial assistance to the verified beneficiaries, preventing fraud and delays.

    When does the registration for the Punjab Rehmat Card start?

    The official launch and the commencement of the registration or distribution process are scheduled to begin shortly after Eid 2026.
