    Has Sindh Announced a Holiday for Schools and Colleges?

    The Sindh government has declared an official province-wide holiday to all schools and colleges on March 11, 2026.

    This is determined because there is martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA) commonly referred to as Youm-e-Ali which is celebrated on the 21 st Ramadan day.

    The following are the full specifications about the Sindh holiday notification, and another update about the spring break of the school of Islamabad.

    Islamabad Announces Spring Break Dates

    Under another educational development related with the update of Sindh, the authorities in the federal capital have made an official announcement of their next spring break.

    As a notification of the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE):

    The schools operating under the FDE will have a spring break between March 24 and March 27.

    On March 30, schools and colleges will finally be open.

    Staff Directives: During the break, teaching staff have been instructed to ensure that the compilation and announcement of in-house annual results on examination are made in time.

    Is there a school holiday on March 11 in Sindh?

    Yes, the Sindh government has announced a holiday for all schools and colleges on Wednesday, March 11, on account of Youm-e-Ali.

    Yes, the official notification applies to all public and private educational institutions across the entire Sindh province, including Karachi.

    Federal government schools and colleges under the FDE in Islamabad will observe their spring break from March 24 to March 27, reopening on March 30.
