In the province, spring holidays have been formally announced in colleges by the Sindh Government. A recent announcement confirms that the provincial government-operated and privately-operated education establishments would be shut down between the 16th and 31st March 2026.
This massive administrative decision was published officially by the Secretary of the Government of Sindh through the College Education Department (CED) in Karachi on March 11, 2026.
Guidelines for Online Classes and Examinations
Although normal physical classes will be closed during this two weeks time, the College Education Department has made some strict guidelines that the academic progress of the students will not be affected.
Every single public and private college operating under the CED should comply with the following rules:
Online Classes: It has categorically been recommended that online classes should be conducted in cases where necessary so that the academic syllabus may continue to run smoothly.
Scheduled Tests: It was made clear in the department that any scheduled tests will be done in accordance to their current schedules and also to include the mock tests.
When are the spring holidays for colleges in Sindh starting?
According to the official notification, the spring holidays for all public and private colleges in Sindh will begin on March 16 and end on March 31, 2026.
