To be honest, — with all this university working from home changing schedules and stuff around making us go crazy. But within this you’ll need to freshen up your alarms and planners if you’re a KU student. Today, the KU administration has officially launched a brand new hybrid schedule of classes. Beginning Thursday, April 2, the university will adopt a system under which students will show up for in-person classes only twice a week. Here is a full rundown of the new routine, when each shift will be at school and what the rest of your academic week will consist of.
University of Karachi On-Campus Schedule
The latest official notification by the university confirms that physical classes on KU campus are now only allowed for two days either Monday or Thursday. Whether you are an early riser or take classes in the evening, there are clear operating hours during both shifts on these two days that have been established by administration:
- Morning Classes: Will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Evening Classes: Will run from 3:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
The university has clearly directed all teaching and non-teaching staff to ensure their physical presence on campus in strict accordance with this new roster.
What Happens on the Other Days?
Before you plan out a five-day weekend, be aware that education is not going to take the rest of the week off. Karachi University has already announced that it will reestablish a hybrid learning model. The other three week days (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) all teaching and academic activities will be held online. This arrangement enables students to stay on course from their own home while regulating footfall on campus.
University of Karachi Point Buses and Transport Services
One of the biggest concerns for KU students whenever schedules change is commute and transport. The administration has fortunately addressed this. The transport services of the university (KU point buses) will run fully for all students on in-person classes days (Monday and Thursday), as confirmed by the official notification.
University of Karachi Weekend Classes for Students
What about those pursuing higher education? The regular two-day schedule does not strictly apply to postgraduate programs.
The university has given individual departments the flexibility to arrange and conduct MPhil and PhD classes over the weekends. This will be organized based on the specific academic requirements and credit hours of each respective department.
