Punjab’s Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has officially launched the second phase of the CM Punjab Agriculture Internship Program 2025. This program is designed to support fresh agriculture graduates and improve farming methods across the province.
Under this initiative, 2,000 young graduates with degrees in BSc Agriculture or BSc (Hons) Agricultural Engineering will receive a monthly stipend of Rs60,000.
This step not only gives jobs to educated youth but also helps spread modern farming knowledge to local farmers.

How to Apply for Agriculture Internship Program
Interested candidates can submit their applications at the Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension) office in their own district. A district-based quota will be followed so that all areas get equal representation.
To help applicants and farmers, the government has also launched a toll-free Agricultural Helpline: 0800-17000.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that this internship is a key step toward her dream of a “golden-yielding Punjab.” She highlighted that educated youth can bring real change to the agriculture sector.
She also mentioned other ongoing projects, like:
There’s also talk of setting up a special agriculture center — more like a mall — where farmers can find everything they need in one spot. From expert advice to tools and official services, it’ll be a place built around their needs.
Step by step, the Punjab government seems committed to improving agriculture, giving young graduates a chance to grow, and bringing better opportunities to villages.
