Pakistani singer Asim Azhar recently hinted at releasing a new track, only a few days after parting ways with actress Merub Ali.
Their breakup announced on June 12, 2025, came as a surprise to fans as the couple had been engaged for the past three years.
Asim broke the news through a post shared on his Instagram story.. In his message, he wrote:
“After a great deal of thought and reflection, Merub & I have chosen to move forward on separate paths peacefully & mutually.”
While Merub Ali did not officially release any statement, she posted some behind-the-scenes photos from her recent modeling shoot on Instagram. In one of her videos, she can be seen jamming to BLACKPINK star Rose and Bruno Mars’ song ‘APT’. Fans called this her post-breakup glow-up.

Shortly after the breakup, Asim Azhar showed that he had written something new. He posted a picture from his music studio on Instagram, writing:
“Wrote something just now. Might drop it idk.”
This has left his fans excited who are now waiting to see if Asim releases the song soon.
Asim Azhar and Merub Ali have been childhood friends. The two appeared together in the famous drama ‘Sinf-e-Aahan’. After several public appearances, they got engaged in a private ceremony back in 2022. However now both have decided to move forward with their individual lives peacefully.
