The state of Brunei Darussalam has formally invited Pakistani doctors and nurses to work within its healthcare. The relocation avails new international employment of Pakistani health practitioners who are seeking to establish international careers in a well-developed healthcare system.
Punjab has responded to this offer by issuing a circular to all government teaching hospitals in the province by the Specialized Health Department. The heads of hospitals are told to inform doctors and other medical personnel about this opportunity to allow interested candidates to apply before it is late.
What Specialists Does Brunei Require?
Brunei, according to the circular, needs specialists in some key fields of medicine. These are Medicine, Critical Care, Neonatology, Hematology, Rheumatology and Urology.
In addition to the specialists, Brunei requires Senior Medical Officers, Medical Officers, and Women Medical Officers, so this opportunity can be offered to not only well-experienced doctors but also young specialists as well.
Helping Interested Applicants
The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis has made the focal person to be the Managing Director of Overseas Employment Corporation (OCE) so as to facilitate the process. This implies that the applicants will be able to get adequate guidance regarding documentation, qualification, and the application process.
Interested doctors and nurses can be encouraged to contact their hospital administrations, and remain linked with OEC to receive official updates.
This project would not only reinforce Pakistan-Brunei collaboration but also provide Pakistani health care providers with the opportunity to receive international exposure and earn higher incomes and advance their professional development within the modern health care infrastructure of Brunei.
