The Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) has announced 75 fully-funded scholarships for the academic year 2026–27. These scholarships are part of the Government of China’s initiative to strengthen educational cooperation with Pakistan.
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan is the official nominating body for this program. It will shortlist and forward the applications of eligible candidates to China.
Programs Offered by CSC
Students can apply for Undergraduate (BS), Master’s (MS), and Doctoral (PhD) degree programs in different fields. If needed, a one-year Chinese language preparatory course is also included.

The Chinese language year is compulsory for BS students unless they already hold an HSK Level 3 certificate (valid for two years). Both Chinese-taught and English-taught programs are available for graduate and PhD levels.
Financial Benefits of CSC
This Chinese Government Scholarship covers almost all expenses:
- Tuition Fees: Fully paid by the host university (includes education, administration, and health insurance).
- Accommodation: Free on-campus dormitory or housing allowance.
- Monthly Stipend: Provided as per CSC policy (amount depends on degree level).
- Travel Expenses: To be paid by the student.
Eligibility Criteria of CSC
To apply, candidates must:
- Be Pakistani or AJK nationals (dual nationality not allowed).
- Be physically fit and in good health.
- Have completed their previous degree before the deadline.

Additional Requirements for CSC
- Must meet CSC and university admission criteria (academic and language).
- Cannot hold any other scholarship at the same time.
- Must have valid USAT (for BS) or HAT (for MS/PhD) test scores:
- Minimum Score: 50/100
- Validity: HAT (2 years), USAT (1 year)
- Accepted Results:
- USAT: From Jan 6, 2025 onward
- HAT: From Jan 6, 2024 onward
- Or results from the Dec 7, 2025 test
- USAT: From Jan 6, 2025 onward
- Minimum Score: 50/100
Students applying for medical, engineering, law, architecture, or veterinary degrees must confirm program accreditation with relevant Pakistani councils such as PMDC, PEC, PNC, PBC, PVMC, etc. For medical programs, follow the PMDC’s foreign admission policy.

- Submit the online form and keep a signed printout.
- Use an active email and mobile number.

- Complete the form, download, and sign it for your record.
Required Documents for CSC
Shortlisted candidates will submit attested and translated copies of:
- Academic certificates, CNIC, domicile, birth certificate, and equivalence (if needed).
- Study Plan or Research Proposal:
- BS: 200+ words
- Master’s/PhD: 800+ words
- BS: 200+ words
- Proof of English/Chinese language proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL/HSK).
- Passport valid till March 1, 2027.
- Foreigner Physical Exam Form (with blood test, valid 6 months).
- Police Clearance Certificate (issued within 6 months).
- Pre-admission letter from a Chinese university (optional but recommended).
- Two recommendation letters (for MS/PhD).
- NOC from employer (if employed).
- Guardian’s documents (if under 18).
