The Government of Punjab has officially confirmed that there is an extension of the registration date of the Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Laptop Scheme. Students that had failed to meet the earlier deadline can now join the free laptops scheme until February 28, 2026.
Deadline Extended for CM Laptop Scheme
The decision to prolong the date was arrived at due to the need to enable more students according to the official update of the Higher Education Department (HED). This project will enhance access to digital technologies among higher education students in the whole province so that they can have the resources they need to learn in the modern world.
The authorities have encouraged all the willing applicants to register before the new deadline to prevent any technical inconveniences at the portal at the last minute.

This has been extended to students of private universities in a huge relief to the students.
Academic Eligibility: Students in the known private universities who have obtained 65 percent or above marks are now allowed to apply.
Merit-Based: It will be distributed in merit strictly to reward high-performing students.
