NADRA has introduced new guidelines and made it easier to update your CNIC address as a citizen. The new regulations will make the process more accessible, quicker, and more transparent so that people could maintain the contents of their residential information accurate.
NADRA claims that one of the valid documents required of an applicant is a document proving his or her current residence.
Acceptable documents include:
- Electricity, gas, or water bills in the name of the applicant, spouse, or parent
- Domicile certificate
- Property ownership documents
- Housing society allotment letter
- Verified rental agreement
A citizen is free to approach any NADRA Registration Centre within his or her area with the necessary documents. The employees in these centers will help the applicants step by step in the address change process of CNIC address.
NADRA has added that the new process will help eliminate time wastage and make the process flawless to all. By adhering to the new rules, the citizens will be able to update their CNIC records within a short time without going through unnecessary challenges.
