The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has made it clear in an official statement that all the exams, which were to be conducted on April 9 and 10 will be conducted as per the schedule strictly without any alterations in the whole country including the federal capital. This announcement will come at the right time to de-confuse the students and parents who were already getting confused with the more recent announcement of local holidays in Islamabad.
No Changes to the Existing Exam Timetable
After the Islamabad administration announced that April 9 and 10 were local public holidays, there was some general anxiety that there would be some inconveniences in the board exams currently being conducted. The FBISE responded to these concerns by issuing a formal statement to the effect that the local holidays will not in any way affect the current examination schedule. The board stressed that no delays, cancellations, and rescheduling of all exams will occur in their respective centers around the country.
Examination Centers to Remain Fully Operational
To further assure the candidates, the Federal Board mentioned that all the examination centers, namely the ones situated within the Islamabad Capital Territory will be fully functional on the given dates. Although all the general population offices and learning institutions within the capital were shut down, the exam network of the board has been highly exempted so that the academic calendar can continue running smoothly.
Advisory for Participating Students
The FBISE has categorically urged all the participating students to strictly adhere to their original date sheets and arrive in their respective examination centers at the appropriate time to save unnecessary inconvenience. As far as the expected traffic diversion and high security in Islamabad are likely to arise because of the impending high-ranking diplomatic visit, students and parents are most advised to organize their route to the exam rooms in good time to avoid missing the examination time.
