If your physical Jazz SIM card is lost, stolen, or requires a complete suspension to prevent misuse (such as unauthorized calls or JazzCash transactions), there are several official methods you can use. This guide focuses on permanently suspending the entire service linked to your SIM card.
Block Jazz SIM by USSD
You can initiate the blocking process using a simple USSD code directly from any available Jazz number.
- Dial the Code: Dial *8822# from any working Jazz mobile number.
- Follow Prompts: Navigate the automated menu to select the option that requests to block your specific lost/stolen number. You will need to provide verification details (like your CNIC).
Block Jazz SIM by Helpline
The most sure way of instant suspension is by calling customer care directly on the phone, since the customer care representative can real-time verify the identity.
Via a Jazz Number: Dial the regular helpline numbers, 111 or 777 (in the case of postpaid customers).
International (or Any Other Network): Call the universal contact number: 021 111 300 300.
Go to Jazz Experience Center or Franchise
To those who want to have personal contact with the service or they must have a new SIM as soon as they block the previous one, it is better to visit an official place.
Necessary Documents: You have to carry your original Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
- Verification: A representative will conduct biometric verification (thumb impression) to confirm your identity before processing the SIM suspension request.
Block Jazz SIM by WhatsApp Self-Service
For a convenient digital option, you can reach out to the official Jazz WhatsApp support channel.
- Add Contact: Save the official Jazz WhatsApp number: 0300 3008000.
- Initiate Chat: Send a message to connect with a customer service agent and request the blocking of your lost SIM, providing necessary ID verification details as requested.
What to DO after Blocking Jazz SIM.
Once the suspension request is processed through any of the above methods, the original SIM card will show “No Service” and cannot be used on any network. This secures your line from misuse.
To resume using your mobile number, you must visit a Jazz Franchise with your original CNIC to apply for a duplicate SIM. Your original number, along with any remaining balance or active packages, will be restored onto the new SIM card.
In case the whole mobile device was stolen, it is strongly recommended to provide the IMEI number to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) as well. The PTA will prevent access to the phone itself which will make the physical device ineffective on all local networks.
Recording stolen gadget through PTA Online Complaint Management System.
They will require the phone unique IMEI number (that is written on the initial packaging or had dialed by calling *#06#) of your phone, your name, and CNIC.
