How to Lock Facebook Profile on Mobile App
For Android or iPhone:
- Open the Facebook app.
Make sure you are logged into your account. - Go to your profile.
Tap on your profile picture or your name. - Tap the three dots (•••) next to the Edit Profile button.
- Select Lock Profile.
- You will see a screen explaining what locking your profile does.
Tap Lock Your Profile. - A confirmation message will appear.
Tap OK and you are done.
How to Lock Facebook Profile on Desktop (PC)
- Go to facebook.com and log in.
- Click on your profile name in the top-left corner to open your profile.
- Click the three dots (•••) next to the Edit Profile button.
- Choose Lock Profile from the dropdown menu.
- You will see a message explaining the feature.
Click Lock Your Profile. - Your profile is now locked.
Do not See the Facebook Lock Profile Option?
If you do not see this option:
- Make sure your Facebook app is updated.
- Check if your account region is set to a supported country.
- Use the Facebook Lite app. Sometimes it shows this option even if the regular app does not.
How to Unlock Your Facebook Profile
If you ever change your mind:
- Go to your profile.
- Tap the three dots (•••).
- Tap Unlock Profile.
