Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has denied rumors that he was being removed as party chairman. He also clarified that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur would not lead the protests this time. Instead different responsibilities would be assigned to different leaders.Gohar Ali Khan added that he supports political dialogue and said PTI is still open to talks with the establishment.
Former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser also backed the decision by saying that Imran Khan cannot legally become chairman so this is a practical alternative. He compared it to how leaders like Nawaz Sharif and Wali Khan also became party patrons when disqualified.
