With the federal capital ready to host the high profile Islamabad Talks 2026 between the United States and Iran, the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has released a detailed traffic management and diversion plan. The steps will help to accommodate the high-end foreign delegations with little inconvenience to the local commuters.
With the increased security measures around the summit there will be major restrictions and alternative routing on April 11 and April 12, 2026.

Security-Driven Measures in Islamabad
This has been done according to the officials in order to accommodate the passage of sensitive diplomatic convoys. Due to minimal media coverage and the security cordons, the traffic scheme becomes one of the most important aspects of the overall safety plan of the Islamabad Talks.
The Islamabad Traffic Police will be stationed in extra force in the city to direct the motorists. People are advised to make use of traffic radio and online updates to get updated on the real-time road closures.
