Pakistan won the three-match T20I series from the West Indies by 2-1 after a 13-run victory at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium.
Pakistan put up a strong total near 189 runs for the loss of just four wickets. They first batted in the game.
The openers gave the team a fantastic start. Saim Ayub scored 66 runs, while Sahibzada Farhan was the top scorer with 74 runs off 53 balls, hitting five sixes and three fours. Their partnership added 138 runs before Farhan was dismissed by Shamar Joseph in the 17th over.
Khushdil Shah and Faheem Ashraf remained not out, scoring 11 and 10 runs respectively. Overall, Pakistan’s batting featured 11 sixes and 7 fours.
Chasing 190, the West Indies managed 176 runs for six wickets in their 20 overs. Pakistan’s bowlers kept the pressure on. Hasan Ali, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Nawaz, Sufiyan Muqeem, and even Saim Ayub — all picked up one wicket each.
Pakistan made a couple of alterations for their lineup in the final match. Haris Rauf replaced Shaheen Afridi, Khushdil Shah replaced Fakhar Zaman.
After setting a target of 178, Pakistan had won the series’ opening match by 14 runs. West Indies did respond with a score of 164/7. That amount proved insufficient. In the second game the hosts bounced back, and they chased 134. With one final score of 135/8, they won out by two wickets at the last over.
Pakistan closed the series upon a high with a win in the third match, also it showed strength using both bat and ball when it mattered the most.
