Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have decided to implement a new program known as the Pakistan UAE Pre-Immigration Clearance program. In this system, Pakistan-UAE passengers will be in a position to finish their immigration in Pakistan. They will be in a position to leave the airport just as the domestic passengers, without having to wait in long queues at the immigration desk after they land in the UAE.
This landmark was highlighted during an interaction with the interior minister of Pakistan Mohsin Naqvi and the UAE delegation headed by the Director general of the customs Al Dara Border Crossing Ahmed Abdullah bin Lahej Al Falasi.
The new system of immigration will be introduced first on a pilot basis, and it will be later introduced in Karachi. This will ensure that travelling becomes very easy to the passengers according to the interior minister. It will save much time, lessen the inconvenience and give the customers an easier time at the airport.
Upon successful completion of the pilot project, the Pakistan UAE Pre-Immigration Clearance system will also be gradually extended to other airports. The project is an indication of increased collaboration between the UAE and Pakistan and will offer modern, efficient, and convenient travel infrastructure to passengers travelling to the UAE.
