The Prize money of the final match between the Karachi blues and the defending champions Sialkot has been announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) before the final match of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.
The PCB has declared that the victorious team in this 22nd edition will get 7.5 million, with the losing team getting 4 million. It has also announced individual prizes along with the team prizes: Rs. 100,000 to the player of the final and Rs. 250,000 to the best bowler, batter, wicket-keeper and overall player in the tournament.
The last is being hosted at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore between December 1-5. The match is also being aired on PTV and Tapmad, or free of charge at the Fazal Mehmood enclosure. It will have commentary from renowned commentators such as Salman Butt, Tariq Saeed, and Raja Asad.
The current champions are Sialkot with Usama Mir as the leader who is only out to add another title to his belt. They are the winners of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2005-06, and 2008-09 and the last season (2024-25) they have won. The most successful team in the history of the tournament is Karachi blues where Saud Shakeel is the captain and it has won 9 titles in the history since 1961-62.
The two teams had the last final in the 2012-13 season where Karachi Blues emerged the winner by a margin of 9 wickets over Sialkot.
