Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has published its Quality of Service (QoS) benchmarking report of fourth quarter 2025, which indicates the existence of a competitive market among mobile operators. The report indicates Telenor and ZONG 4G as the best performers in the various categories based on the more than 1.25 billion measurements made in 161 districts.
Telenor was still leading in matters of Download and Upload speed in the country and has the highest internet connectivity in the country. The country had an average speed of download at 18.60 Mbps, and the high-end devices registered that of 30.80 Mbps.
ZONG 4G made inroads into the Games Experience category of the entertainment industry by leading the industry in the country. In the meantime, Ufone remained steadily at the fourth position in all the national indices.
City-Wise Performance and Video Experience
The report demonstrated a division in the city level hegemony. ZONG 4G offered the highest download rate in large hubs such as Lahore, Karachi, and Multan with the maximum city-level rate of 20.63 Mbps in Multan. On the other hand Telenor dominated the download charts in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Peshawar.
In the case of Video experience, Jazz was dominating in six major cities such as Islamabad and Karachi whereas ZONG 4G was dominating in the gaming sector as it was leading in all ten cities that were surveyed.
