Who Can Renew Their Passport from Abroad?
You can apply for passport renewal if:
- You are a Pakistani citizen living abroad (with valid NICOP/CNIC)
- Your passport is expired or will expire within 7 months
- You are not applying for the first time
Online Passport Renewal Process
- Visit the official site:
https://onlinemrp.dgip.gov.pk - Create an account or log in
- Fill in the application form
- Upload scanned documents
- Pay the renewal fee online
- Submit and wait for confirmation
- Your new passport will be delivered to your foreign address
Documents Required for Online Passport Renewal
- Scanned copy of valid CNIC or NICOP
- Scanned copy of old passport
- Recent passport-size photograph (white background)
- Valid email and phone number
- Cards for payment
Abroad Physical Passport Renewal Method
If online renewal is not available for you then you can visit the Pakistani embassy or consulate in your country.
- Book an appointment
- NICOP/CNIC, old passport and photos
- Fill out the form at the embassy
- Pay the fee (some accept card, others only cash)
- Give fingerprints and photo on-site
- Get a receipt and wait for your passport (2–4 weeks usually)
