FAQS
Do these timings work or are they valid in the immediate areas such as Dhadar or even in the Bolan area?
The given calendar is carefully computed with the geographical coordinates of Sibi city. Although the neighboring regions such as Dhadar and the lower Bolan Valley are within very close proximity, the mountainous nature and minor differences in the longitudinal variations may make the sunrise and sunset different by 1 to 3 minute differences. To ensure an absolute accuracy, it is strongly advised that locals in said outskirts should adhere to the announcements of their local mosques.
Is the schedule accommodative of every Islamic school of thought?
The schedule above is based on the Fiqh Hanafi (Sunni) calculations. In the case of Muslim community ascribing to Fiqh Jafaria (Shia), there is a slight difference; Sehri will tend to start approximately 5-10 minutes earlier than the given time, and Iftar will tend to start approximately 10-12 minutes after the given time of sunset when the evening redness has disappeared totally in the sky.
Why is the time of the Iftar a little late every day?
Since Ramadan 2026 will be observed between late February and mid-March, the Northern Hemisphere will be leaving the winter season to enter into spring. The days are slowly lengthening during this period. Due to this astronomical change of the seasons, you will observe how the Iftar time is gradually moving later in the evening by one or two minutes every day as the month advances.
