Summer Game Fest 2025, hosted by Geoff Keighley delivered a two hour event that included over sixty game announcements. One of the highlights of the show was five standout trailers that fans are now excitedly looking forward to.
1. Resident Evil Requiem
Capcom has officially announced the ninth installment in the Resident Evil series under the name Resident Evil Requiem, set to launch on February 27, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and on PC. Resident Evil Requiem drags players into a twisted new vision of Raccoon City, where familiar streets hide darker, more terrifying secrets than ever before. Players take on the role of an FBI agent named Grace Ashcroft who is investigating a hotel that is connected to her mother’s homicide. The trailer gave fans a glimpse of the series psychological horror and action mixed to portray the game’s high fidelity realism, while returning the franchise to its survival horror origins.

2. Mafia: The Old Country
2K and Hangar 13 presented Mafia: The Old Country, taking players to Sicily in the early 1900s. The trailer first introduced the player character, Enzo who is dealing with the challenges of criminal organizations. The game looks like an advanced narrative experience and a timepiece that would be a great addition to the Mafia series.

3. Dying Light: The Beast
Techland has revealed Dying Light: The Beast, a standalone title that will reintroduce the original protagonist Kyle Crane. The game is scheduled for a global release on August 22, 2025. Dying Light: The Beast returns to the beloved parkour and zombie-slaying idea along with its signature action gameplay title. An extended thirty minute gameplay preview revealed improved combat mechanics and a compelling story.
4. Game of Thrones: War for Westeros
Fans of the Game of Thrones franchise were introduced to War for Westeros, a real-time strategy game where players can lead iconic houses or the Night King in a battle for control of the lands of Westeros. The Trailer revealed huge battles real time strategy gameplay and they showcased an opportunity to alter the fate of Westeros.
5. Hitman: World of Assassination
IO Interactive shocked fans with Hitman: World of Assassination, and with it came the new elusive target: Le Chiffre, as played by Mads Mikkelsen. The trailer provided a quick look at Agent 47’s latest mission, a mix of stealth and strategy as players pursue and eliminate the notorious Bond villain.
