Plot of Superman (2025)
After he defends Jarhanpur, Superman is attacked by the enigmatic “Hammer of Boravia”. This foe reveals himself to be Ultraman, a rogue clone controlled by Lex Luthor, who then steals Superman’s Kryptonian message in order to sway public opinion. Superman escapes a pocket dimension thanks to the Justice Gang, then quashes Luthor’s reactor black hole threat, and restores his reputation.

Production of Superman (2025)
James Gunn and Peter Safran became co-CEOs of DC Studios in October 2022, launching Chapter One: Gods & Monsters. Gunn wrote and directed, drawing inspiration from comics like All‑Star Superman. Corenswet was cast as the new Superman in mid-2023, with the subtitle Legacy dropped in early 2024.
Filming of Superman (2025)
On Superman’s comic birthday, being February 29 in 2024, principal photography began. Important locations are the Fortress scenes filmed in Svalbard, Norway; studio work in Atlanta at Trilith Studios; and several on-location shoots in Georgia and Ohio, like Cleveland and Cincinnati. Filming wrapped in July 2024.
