ECB Clarifies Stance on Indian-Owned Franchises
Prior to this, the BBC reported that the Indian-owned four franchises with eight team spots in the competition, namely Manchester Super Giants, MI London, Southern Brave, and Sunrisers Leeds were not even thinking of picking a Pakistani player to buy in the next auction.
Nevertheless, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) was quick to release a statement, which once again confirmed that The Hundred is a global and inclusive competition that any player can take part in.
The ECB put a rest to the rumours saying that all the eight teams believe that selection should be done based only on cricketing performance and availability as well as needs of each team.
