National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has simplified the life of its citizens by updating its Pak Identity application on mobile. Using the new version of the app (Pak ID 5.0.4), now people can change their mobile number and e-mail address without going to a NADRA office.
How to Update Your Mobile Number
Updating your number is very simple:
- Open the Pak ID app on your phone.
- Go to Profile Settings.
- Select the option to edit mobile number.
- Enter your new mobile number.
- You will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on that number.
- Enter the OTP in the app to verify.
- Once verified, your new number will be added to your NADRA profile.
The same steps also apply if you want to update your email address.
Why It’s Important to Update Your Contact Details
- By keeping an active number in your NADRA record, you will receive real-time alerts about your CNIC, family registration, or other related services.
- You’ll also get reminders for ID card renewal, biometric verification, and other important updates.
- Having updated contact details protects you from possible misuse of your identity documents.

New Payment Options for NADRA Services
Along with the new update, NADRA has also introduced multiple payment options for application fees:
- Pay directly in cash at NADRA offices.
- Use JazzCash, Easypaisa, or E-Sahulat outlets.
- Make a quick digital payment via QR code. At the time of submitting your application, you can get a QR code from NADRA staff, scan it through your mobile banking app, and pay instantly without any extra charges.
