Next month, Pakistan’s ODI squad is heading to the Caribbean, and this time, it is Mohammad Rizwan who is going to be in charge. The team’s got three matches lined up against the West Indies, all happening at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago. The games are locked in for August 8, 10, and 12.
The 16-man squad was announced by PCB on Friday, and there is something new in there too — Hasan Nawaz, a promising right-handed batter, has been included. It is his first-ever call-up in the ODI format.
Also making the list are Babar Azam and pace spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi, both returning with their experience to anchor the side.
Before those ODIs, though, Pakistan will play three T20 Internationals against the same opponents. The T20I leg is set for July 31, August 2, and 3, and will be hosted at Central Broward Park and Broward County Stadium, located in Lauderhill, Florida. Salman Ali Agha has been named captain of the T20 squad. Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, and Haris Rauf are all making their way back into the T20 setup. The players are set to land in the U.S. on July 27, right after finishing their T20 games in Bangladesh. From there, they will begin their tour of North America and the Caribbean.
