The Thal Desert Rally 2025 event will be held during the period of November 6 to 9 and these are officially announced by the Punjab Tourism Department. This motor sports event will transform the golden sand of Layyah, Kot Addu and Muzaffargarh into an exciting arena of culture, adventure and fun.
The announcement was done in a press conference at the Lahore Museum. Secretary Tourism, Archaeology and Museums Punjab, Dr. Ehsan Bhutta said that the annual rally is taking place this year under the auspices of the Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz as part of the “Magnificent Punjab” tourism revival plan. He added that the rally would help not just advertise in favor of the adventure sports but also showcasing the rich culture and traditions of South Punjab.
Dr. Bhutta said that Thal Desert Rally is not merely a racing event, but a festival of the Punjab. The event will also market local craftsmanship, folk art, and Sufi spirit that characterizes the area. He also ensured that there will be full security and emergency support of Punjab Police, Rangers, Rescue 1122 and Health Department during the event.
TDCP Managing Director Asim Raza declared that the number of drivers in the event is approximately 100, including the popular racers such as Mir Nadir Magsi, Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali, Zain Mehmood and the Khakwani Brothers. Racers of female gender will also participate and it will be more diverse and exciting.
In addition to the race, the visitors may have folk music evenings, camel and horse competitions, tent-pegging, and local handicraft bazaars. Thal Desert Rally 2025 is going to be a one-of-a-kind adventure, culture, and touristic experience to the world, as the spirit of South Punjab is going to be revealed.
