The New Generation of Pakistani talent will characterize the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025-26 season with a number of the national players being recruited under franchises by direct signing and the BPL auction.
Young Pakistani stars made the news at the BPL 2026 auction on Sunday. All-rounder Jahandad Khan, fast bowler Ihsanullah and middle-order batter Haider Ali were some of the best selections.
Ihsanullah, who has played one ODI and four T20Is in the Pakistani team, had the highest bid among Pakistani players in Category C. He became a member of Noakhali Express at USD 28,000. Ihsanullah was a member of the Rangpur Riders last season but was not playing any matches.
Noakhali Express also contracted Haider Ali at USD 20,000. Having played 37 international matches and having had 13 BPL appearances with 213 runs with an unbeaten high score of 48 Haider is an added strength to the team.
Rajshahi Warriors selected Jahandad Khan, the T20I debutant who was given eight international caps and is in Category C with USD 20,000.
Besides these auction signings, other Pakistani players were also directly signed prior to the auction and these included Saim Ayub, Mohammad Amir, Abrar Ahmed, Usman Khan, Khawaja Nafay, and Sahibzada Farhan.
