The 21 st TDCP International Cholistan Desert Rally 2026 has formally been declared. Desert racing will be an exciting event that will be staged between 4 and 8 February 2026 in the Cholistan Desert in the Bahawalpur neighbourhood.
This rally also provides high-speed motorsport fun in the scenic desert of Pakistan at least once every year. The race is attended by a large number of fans, adventure enthusiasts, and people who come to watch the high powered cars racing through the sands.
The rally will be conducted under Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) and it will involve Pakistani as well as international drivers who will be racing through difficult desert trails. The tough situation is putting the abilities, power and pace of the race runners into the test.
Other than the race, the Cholistan Rally also has a significant contribution to tourism and promotion of local traditions and development of businesses in South Punjab. It has since become one of the largest and most attended events in Pakistan with great public and media attention.
In the past, TDCP Managing Director Asim Raza indicated that Cholistan Desert Rally has been transformed within a span of over 20 years into the largest rally event in South Asia, and this has helped enhance the tourism sector in Pakistan to a great extent.
He also pointed out that tourism had prospects in Punjab and TDCP had put a strong push in promoting tourism both inside and outside of Pakistan.
The Cholistan Desert Rally 2026 will definitely be another thrilling motorsporting event, a cultural spectacle and a huge boost to the tourism in the region.
