The wait for citizens to obtain travel documents has been a thing of the past in Pakistan. The Directorate General of Immigration & Passports (DGI&P) has now made its most streamlined service to date – the Executive Fast Track Service. It is a high-end service to serve those who are facing emergency travel requirements and ensure a passport within 48 hours (Two working days only).
What is the Executive Fast Track Service?
The Executive Fast Track is the highest tier of passport processing in Pakistan. While “Ordinary” (21 days) or “Urgent” (5-7 days), the application is given a stronger priority at the data entry and biometric verification, printing and regional delivery stage in the Fast Track service.
As of 2026, the coverage of this service has grown to more than 47 cities in Pakistan including Executive Passport Offices (EPOs) in big cities such as Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta, and Peshawar.
Step-by-Step Guide to Getting Your Passport in 48 Hours
Find an Executive Center: Find the Executive Center or a Fast Track counter of your local regional Executive Passport Office.
Payment of the passport fee: Pay at banks using a designated account or through Passport Fee Asaan app. Make sure to choose the “Fast Track” section to create the proper digital challan.
Biometrics and Processing: Most importantly, you will not have to wait in line to the ordinary application at the office.
Your photo, fingerprints, and data entry will be handled at specialized high-speed counters.
Instant Approval: After your data entry, you will be directed to an Assistant Director for a brief interview and immediate digital approval.
Collection: Once approved, the central printing facility in Islamabad processes the booklet within 24 hours. It is then dispatched via specialized courier to your collection center, ready for pickup within the 48-hour window.
