1. A-Level Mathematics Paper 32 (9709/32)
The Pure Mathematics 3 Examination has been delayed and will now be held on Monday 8th June 2026. The component is compulsory for all candidates at A-Level in the final year of study of the full-length 9709 syllabus.
2. AS-Level Mathematics Paper 12 (9709/12)
The Pure Mathematics 1 paper for the AS-Level has been officially confirmed as being on Tuesday 9th June 2026. The exam will be in the afternoon (PM) session. But candidates will need to check their reporting times with the relevant school exam officers.
Papers Exempted from Re-sits: The Assessed Marks Policy
Cambridge stated that some components affected will not be re-administered to reduce student anxiety and to avoid additional difficulties with exams scheduling.
Mathematics Paper 52 (9709/52): The AS-Level Probability & Statistics 1 paper will not be retaken.
The theory part of the Computer Science Paper 12 (9618/12) is cancelled at the AS-Level.
Cambridge will use its standard formula for the following components: “Assessed Marks”. Those who have attempted the other papers that they are eligible to attempt during this series (e.g., Paper 32 or Paper 22) will be provided with a calculated mark for that paper(s) if they have met the requirements. This statistical alignment will not disadvantage a student through the cancellation.
Final Result Declaration Date Unchanged
One of the main issues that students had faced while applying to local and international universities was that if these timelines change what will be the consequences on their higher education schedule. Thankfully, Cambridge has confirmed the date for results in August 2026 for the global release of AS and A-Level results is not changing.
