Pakistani national hero and javelin star Arshad Nadeem and his colleague Muhammad Yasir has qualified for javelin throw final of 26th Asian Athletic Championship.
The 26th Asian Athletic Championship is currently taking place Gumi South Korea. This event features around 2000 athletes from over 43 countries.
Arshad Nadeem has made a spot in the final with a 86.34m throw on his first and only attempt in the A qualification round. Muhammad Yasir also earned his spot in the final by throwing 76.07 m in the B qualification round. Yasir entered the final in ninth position.
The final for javelin throw 26th Asian Athletic Championship will take place on May 31 at 110 pm PKT.
Arshad Nadeem had also made history by winning Gold medal at Paris 2024 olympics and setting new record with a 92.97m throw.
